After a hugely successful Inaugural Castle Cape Town Tens held at the oldest rugby club in South Africa, the Hamilton Sea Point Rugby Club, last year the eLan SA Rugby Legends will return to Cape Town to participate in this years event next week end, which will undoubtedly become the tournament that officially starts the rugby season each year.

Tickets for the enormously popular Cape Town Rugby Festival are officially sold out but up until a few days ago packages for the rest of the weekend were still available at Computicket.

With news that former Wallaby legend Timmy Horan will be heading up a star studded side including the likes of Pat Howard, Jeremy Paul and Damien Smith in their line up does add a definite international flavor to the festival. Eric Miller a member of the all conquering 1997 British and Irish Lions side that toured South Africa that year will also return to the scene of his greatest triumph only this time for a far more social setting where rugby camaraderie will be experienced at its best and all under African skies.

The Cape Town Tens fans and spectators will be amongst the first folks to catch glimpses of the new Cape Town Stadium in Greenpoint, which is one of the 2010 Soccer World Cup venues. The SA Rugby Legends will go head to head with a select International XV in a curtain raiser to the Stormers Super 14 warm up against Boland in the magnificent new stadium as part of the festivals festivities.

No doubt with the International flavor the élan SA Rugby Legends will want to be at their best and with the likes of Braam van Straaten, AJ Venter, Robbie Kempson and Breyten Paulse all in the mix they will be a competitive outfit, but more importantly the SA Rugby Legends Association will be hard at work promoting the Rob Louw Celebrate Life fight against cancer campaign at the festival which will be launched at their second annual golf day on Friday 5 February at the Rondebosch Golf Club.
