The Ex Sharks Players Association First luncheon, which took place at Butcher Boys Umhlanga last Thursday was a huge success. The luncheon, which was held as a Christmas function brought together a good mixture of older players who met up with their more recent provincial colleagues.

Among the players that attended were Craig Jamieson, AJ Venter, Snowy Suter, Brian Scharbram and Adrian Garvey. John Plumtree was the guest speaker. Past players and guests brought Christmas presents for underprivileged children and a great time was had by all. It was rugby camaraderie at its very best.

Terence Chapman of the SA Rugby Legends is to be congratulated for putting the successful function together while Mike Meyers of Butcher Boys Umhlanga is to given a thousand thanks for his incredible contribution.

The luncheon is to be held every two months in 2010.
