SARLA Western Cape - Rugby Clinic

SARLA Western Cape presented a rugby clinic at Westcliff High School on Tuesday 26 May for 150 learners from schools catering for learners with learning and physical barriers.

We experienced a well-organised venue and well-behaved players from Under 15 through to Under 19. The boys were transported from as far as Atlantis and we would like to sincerely thank the teachers / coaches for making time to allow these boys the thrill of being in the presence of Legends such as Andre Vos, Wessel Lightfoot, Dale Santon, Johnny Trytsman, Pierre Ribbens, Jaco Hendricks and Quinton Daniels.

The clinic was headed by Arni van Rensburg, newly elected local committee member in charge of coaching. The drills were explained with authority and the boys quickly understood what was required. The school’s coaches mainly worked with their own learners in groups, but with assistance from the Legends.
